Title:
NANOCOMPOSITE PERMANENT MAGNETS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2005066980
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
A nanocomposite, rare earth permanent magnet comprising at least two rare earth- or yttrium-transition metal compounds. The nanocomposite, rare earth permanent magnet can be used at operating temperatures of about 130 to about 300 °C and exhibits improved thermal stability when compared with Nd2Fe14B-based magnets. Methods of making the nanocomposite, rare earth permanent magnets are also shown.
