Abstract:
The present invention relates to a negative electrode for a secondary battery, comprising a combination of a negative electrode active material (A) which has a relatively lower charging/discharging voltage and a relatively lower hardness, and a negative electrode active material (B) which has a relatively higher charging/discharging voltage and a relatively higher hardness. A surface of the negative electrode active material (A) is coated with a carbon having a high hardness or a composite containing same. The negative electrode active material (B) comprises particles, the size of each of which is smaller than that of the space formed by the negative electrode active material (A) in a four-fold coordination. Thus, electrodes having superior capacity can be obtained while preventing problems of lithium precipitation caused by overvoltage and improving both ion conductivity and electric conductivity.
