Abstract:
This optical communication device comprises an optical switch, a wavelength management control unit, and an optical switch control unit. The optical switch is connected to a plurality of transmission paths and outputs an optical signal input from any one of the transmission paths to another transmission path. The wavelength management control unit dynamically assigns a wavelength corresponding to a communication destination to a subscriber device. The optical switch control unit controls the optical switch so that an optical signal transmitted from a subscriber device to which a wavelength has been assigned is output to a transmission path corresponding to a forwarding destination on the path to a communication destination.
