Abstract:
A planar antenna 1 comprises a dielectric substrate 2, a power supply line 12 that is provided on a first surface 2a of the dielectric substrate 2 and has a first side 12c and a second side 12d, three rectangular radiation elements 14 that are arranged on the first surface 2a and are provided so as to protrude from the first side 12c and the second side 12d alternately, and an electromagnetic bandgap structure 20 having arranged regions 30 on the first surface 2a. The first surface 2a includes a first adjacent region 41 adjacent to the first side 12c and a second adjacent region 42 adjacent to the second side 12d. The arranged regions 30 include first arranged regions 31 within the first adjacent region 41 and second arranged regions 32 within the second adjacent region 42. At least a part of the first arranged regions 31 is positioned closer to the power supply line 12 than a first virtual line I1, and at least a part of the second arranged regions 32 is positioned closer to the power supply line 12 than a second virtual line I2.
