Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle drive apparatus control apparatus such that, in a hybrid vehicle, lowering of fuel economy can be suppressed by decreasing power loss of a hydraulic power transmission when the vehicle is stopped. When the operation of an engine (12) is stopped when the vehicle is stopped and a mechanical oil pump (28) is driven by an electric motor (MG), neutral control is implemented to suppress transmission of power between a torque converter (hydraulic power transmission)(16) and a drive wheel (24) with a starting clutch (C1) placed in a slip state. Thus, the neutral control, which is implemented only during engine operation according to conventional art, is implemented when the operation of the engine (12) is stopped, so that an electronic control apparatus (58) can achieve a decrease in power loss due to the slipping of the torque converter (16) compared to the case where the starting clutch (C1) is engaged and a turbine rotor (16t) is restrained by the drive wheel (24) when the vehicle is stopped. As a result, lowering of fuel economy of a vehicle (8) can be suppressed.
