Abstract:
PURPOSE:To attain sure and detailed correction and print with high quality by weighting and adding a data representing the presence of an edge between dots so as to decide the kind and presence of the correction, eliminating the need for preparation of a template pattern, eliminating the need for a comparator circuit being a matching network means comparing the template pattern thereby attaining the discrimination of the correction and selecting the kind of the correction. CONSTITUTION:An edge detection means 102 detects an edge, a weight means 103 makes weighting to the edge, a logic arithmetic means 104 applies logic arithmetic operation to the signal according to the weighting, a correction control means 107 selects the size of the dot in response to the result of the arithmetic operation and a signal generating means 105 corrects the picture dot data in response to the size of the selected dot by the correction control means 107.
