Abstract:

To provide an air bag capable of suppressing the volume of an air bag body part and capable of properly protecting each region of an occupant's body.

An intermediate part 26 is positioned between a base 25, which is to be attached to a vehicle body, of the baggy air bag body part 18 and a tip part 27 for protecting the upper bodies B1 and B2 of the occupants P1 and P2. The intermediate part 26 is isolated ahead of the tip part 27. The volume of the baggy air bag body part 18 can be suppressed. Each region of the bodies of the occupants P1 and P2 can be properly protected by protecting the heads H1 and H2 of the occupants P1 and P2 without pressing them with the intermediate part 26, while reliably protecting the upper bodies B1 and B2 of the occupants P1 and P2 with the tip part 27.
