Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce restrictions on a flight range as well as to improve the extent of controllability by installing an air control in at least either of a front edge or rear edge of an aircraft pylon.

CONSTITUTION: A rear edge of the pylon 2 attached to the underside of symmetrical main wings 10 of aircraft 1 is provided with an air control 3 whose front end is pivotally attached to the vertical shafting. At a lower end of the pylon 2, there is provided a flying body 4 with plural pieces of directional stabilizing fins 4a at the tail part mounted with the shell attached. When an angle of the air control is changed to some extent, a direction of air flow as shown in an arrow (a) is changed to another direction as shown in an arrow (b), while aerodynamic force F inherent in the pylon 2 itself is regulated. The angle of this air control 3 may be set to such required on the ground or unmovable during flight otherwise, and like-wise as a control surface of ordinary aircraft, it may be alterable in flight as well.
