PURPOSE: To improve the mold release characteristics of an arom. polysulfone resin by melt mixing it with at least one processing aid selected from the group consisting of a metal soap, a fatty acid amide, and a fatty acid bisamide and a specific synthetic oil of a phenyl ether type.
CONSTITUTION: 100 pts.wt. arom. polysulfone resin is mixed with 0.02-2 pts.wt. at least one processing aid selected from the group consisting of a metal salt (e.g. a magnesium salt) of a 10-30C fatty acid, a 10-30C fatty acid amide (e.g. stearamide), and a fatty acid bisamide, 0.02-2 pts.wt. synthetic oil of a phenyl ether type of the formula (e.g. tetraphenyl ether), and if necessary another engineering plastic, an inorg. filler, an antioxidant, an ultraviolet absorber, etc. The resulting mixture is melt kneaded and pelletized at about 250-380°C through a twin-screw extruder, etc.
