To provide a cutter which is capable of easily cutting the covering of a corrugated tube, enhances safety so as to prohibit the cut of the hands and is usable by not only a right-handed person but a left-handed person as well.
The cutter has a hook blade plate 3 which is formed with a hook-like blade edge 4 so as to face downward and a guide part 4a having no blade edge at the angle in the inlet on the front end side of the blade edge 4 and a front plate 6 which is formed with a relief part 7 of a U shape slightly larger than the blade edge 4 of the hook blade plate 3 so as to face downward, is formed with a pressing part 7a for the covering and further is formed with the front end side 6a so as to project slightly from the front end side 3a of the hook blade plate 3 to a shape to cover the front end side 3a of the hook blade plate 3. The cutter is formed by disposing the blade edge 4 of the hook blade plate 3 so as to face the inside of the relief part 7 of the front plate 6, inserting the base side of the front plate 6 and the hook blade plate 3 into a slit and fixing the same by means of a lock screw 10.
