Abstract:
To provide drive circuits of a display device, such as a liquid-crystal display device in which the drive circuits are integrated, which are able to solve the problem that serious surface defects may occur as the result of dust trapped during manufacturing processes.
At each step of lines of shift registers in a video signal line drive circuit or a scanning line drive circuit, a first, second, and third shift registers 11-13 operate in parallel, and a majority decision is made on their outputs by majority circuits 14-17. Therefore, even if a defect occurs in one of the shift registers and its operation stopped, a normal shift pulse is transmitted to the next stage to allow the shift register lines to operate normally.
