To provide a compact drive unit capable of properly detecting the absolute position of a mobile part with respect to a fixation part.SOLUTION: A drive unit (1) comprises a mobile part (100), a fixation part (200) for holding the mobile part, a control unit (201) for controlling the position of the mobile part with respect to the fixation part, a voice reproduction unit (215) for reproducing a voice, a voice collection unit (107) for collecting the voice; and a voice processing unit (108) for acquiring positional information of the mobile part with respect to the fixation part, on the basis of the voice collected by the voice collection unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
