Abstract:

To enable enhancement of effect of anticancer agent by adding a tea catechin and/or a theaflavin to an anticancer agent.

An anticancer agent, especially an antimetabolite is mixed with a tea catechin and/or a theaflavin and administered. A tea catechin consisting essentially of epigallocatechin is especially preferable as the tea catechin and the amount of the tea catechin added is 5-20mg/kg. The theaflavin consists essentially of theaflavin digallate and the amount added is 5-10mg/kg. The anticancer agent in an amount of 1-20mg/kg is used. The effect of the anticancer agent is enhanced without adverse effects by the administration of the combination of the anticancer agent and/or the theaflavin.
