Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly correct the air-fuel ratio against the change of operating conditions by learning the deviation of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction quantity against the purge rate, and controlling the correction of the air-fuel ratio based on the learned value and the purge rate.
SOLUTION: A purge valve passage area and a purge cut valve area are obtained (B1, B2). Since a purge valve and a purge cut valve are provided in series, the smaller area is selected as the purge passage area AP, and the actual purge rate PRATE is calculated from the purge passage area AP and total passage area AA (B3-4). The average of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction quantity α during the purge and the average of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction quantity α during the purge cut are obtained (B5-6). The deviation eα of the air-fuel ratio feedback correction quantity α is calculated, and the new gain G is calculated from the deviation eα and the actual purge rate PRATE (B7-8). The learned value of the gain G (gain leaned value) is allocated to a learning table for the region (purge gas flow).
