PURPOSE: To allow the user to confirm facsimile text data easily, quickly and surely by sending transmission result information stored in the facsimile store and forward exchange to a facsimile terminal equipment sending the facsimile text data through a channel in connection.

CONSTITUTION: Destination designation information raised by a call from facsimile terminal equipments 12a to 12n is received by a communication control section 14 and the arrival of the call is informed to a CPU 16. After the reception of the call, facsimile text data (received original) are stored in an HDD 24 under the control of the communication control section 14 and the CPU 16. Communication result information being a reply to a transmission request of the destination designation information stored in a RAM 20 is sent to the facsimile terminal equipments 12a to 12n through a channel in connection at present based on the destination designation information and the information is displayed on a screen display device of each terminal equipment and printed out by each print section. Then the channel is made open to terminate the communication.
