Abstract:
To provide a fastener material of a titanium alloy, having a high strength and excellent balance with other material characteristics such as ductility, fatigue characteristics, and shear strength, even in a fastener materials with a large diameter, and to provide a method or manufacturing the fastener material of the titanium alloy.
The fastener material of the titanium alloy is characterized by having a microstructure of an α+β type, 10% to 90% by volume fraction of a pro-eutectoid α-phase, and a grain size of 10 μm or smaller. The fastener material of the titanium alloy includes, by mass ratio, 4.0% to 5.0% Al, 2.5% to 3.5% V, 1.5% to 2.5% Fe, and 1.5% to 2.5% Mo.
