Abstract:
To provide a method whereby a magnetic backup block can be manufactured easily and rapidly irrespective of the shape and size of a workpiece.
A fixing jig 1A comprises a jig main body 2A and a film 3A. The film 3A is extended over the jig main body 2A to partition its storage space 4. A magnetic backup block forming material 5 having flowability is introduced into the storage space. A magnetic material and a binding agent are contained in the magnetic backup block forming material 5, which is hardened to form a magnetic backup block 8. In the magnetic backup block 8, the magnetic material is maldistributed on the back 72 of a workpiece 7.
