Abstract:
PURPOSE: To cut a wire rod to the same lengths.
CONSTITUTION: In a cutting method for the wire rod in a press machine, when a pair of female type dies 5 fitted with the width and interval as the cutting length of the wire rod 14 on the mutually facing surface of the pair of female type dies 5 energized in the mutually separating direction with springs 6 approaches against the energizing force of the springs 6, the wire rod to be cut is set in the fixed condition between plural cutting edges mutually and closely fitted. Then a pair of male type dies 3 fitted at the lower surface of an upper die 1 possible to ascend/descend in the pressing machine are having inclining surface 4 of the separating direction at the lower part on the facing surface is descended, and by inserting the inclining surfaces 4 into recessed parts 7 arranged to the pair of female type dies 5 and having inclining surfaces 8 in the mutually approaching direction of the pair of female dies 5 against the energizing force of the spring 6 by inserting the male type dies 3, the pair of female type die 5 is approached and the wire rod 14 is cut with the plural cutting edges. By closely fitting plural cutting edges, the wire rod can be cut to the same lengths.
