Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for processing finite elements for quickly and accurately retrieving elements including an arbitrary point even for any division model.
SOLUTION: When a point P is applied to a finite element division model, a specific element Es decided based on an arbitrary condition is used as a retrieval starting element, and adjacent elements in the direction of the point P are judged by a part 203 for judging a position relation between an element center of gravity for a side and a point P by using a position relation between an element center of gravity for the boundary of elements and the point P. Then, the adjacent elements are traced as elements to be retrieved so that the elements including the point P can be retrieved by a controlling part 201. Then, when any adjacent elements in the direction of the point P are absent, elements adjacent to the present elements to be retrieved are set as the next elements to be retrieved by a new retrieval objective element setting part 206 regardless of the direction of the point P.
