Abstract:
PURPOSE: To decrease the kinds of time-space filters required for respective stages and to easily actualize their algorithm by an actual electric circuit by detecting time-space energy at plural stages.
CONSTITUTION: This method consists of a three-dimensional Gabor function time-space filter 2 which performs a three-dimensional time-space filter process for a continuously inputted input image 1, a local smoothing process part 3, a local time-space energy calculation part 4, a local direction integration part 5, a three-dimensional Gabor function time-space filter 6, a smoothing process part 7, a wide area time-space energy calculation part 8, an intermediate layer 9, and a speed detection output part 10. Time-space energy is measured at plural different three-dimensional center time-space frequencies in the time series of a two-dimensional image and the time-space energy of the result is measured again at plural three-dimensional center time-space frequencies. In another way, the time-space energy is measured repeatedly at the three- dimensional center time-space frequencies. Then the speed of a body in the input image is found.
