PURPOSE: To obtain a recording solution for ink-jet recording, having excellent fastness of an image, responsiveness of high-frequency wavelength and duration stability of delivery, providing a clear cyanic color by dispersing blue dye and blue pigment into a specific dispersant.

CONSTITUTION: This recording solution contains (A) blue dye {preferably C.I. Direct Blue 199 and/or a compound of formula I [Pc is a phthalocyanine nucleus; R1 to R3 are each H, alkyl, etc.; L is a bifunctional organic bond group; X is carbonyl or a group of formula II (Z is SR6, OR6, etc.; R6 is H, aryl, etc.); G is a colorless organic group substituted with one or two groups selected from COSH and COOH; t+q is 3-4]}, (B) blue pigment (preferably C.I. Pigment Blue 15:3 and/or C.I. Pigment Blue 16), (C) a dispersant composed of a water-soluble surfactant (preferably an anionic surfactant such as an alkyl sulfate) and (D) water (preferably ion exchange water).
