PURPOSE: To contrive to provide shielding panels with a high vibration absorbing function by a method wherein each shielding panel is constituted of metal plates disposed in facing relation to each other, a buffer material interposed between these metal plates and edge members interposed between the end parts of a pair of the metal plates.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of metal plates 23 and 23 of each shielding panel are disposed in opposition to each other at a constant interval. A buffer material 27 consisting of a paper honeycomb or a foaming urethane and so on, for example, is interposed between these plates 23 and 23. Moreover, edge members 29 consisting of a plywood or a compressed wood fiber and so on, for example, are each interposed between the end parts of the plates 23 and 23. Thereby, when an earthquake force P acts on the shielding panels 31, the plates 23 of the panels 31 are deformed, wrinkles 33 are produced on the plates 23, the force P is absorbed by these wrinkles 33 and a stress to act on the joints of the panels can be reduced. Accordingly, the formation of gaps never occurs in the joints.
