Title:
TIRE PRESSURE/CAR SPEED MEASURING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3314280
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To rapidly measure tire pressure by providing an array like load sensor group applying the pattern of the distribution data of the force applied by a tire along the line traversing the width of the tire at a time of the contact with the tire.
CONSTITUTION: A sensor array having a plurality of strain gauge' load cells arranged in a linear array form incorporated therein is arranged in the pit liner 4 of the roadway 10 by a gasoline supply pump. The sensing region 6 of a sensor group 2 is covered with an elastic layer 8. When a vehicle moves on the array, respective sensors receive forces changing with the elapse of time. The sensor group 2 applies data to a computer and the computer is programmed so as to determine tire pressure to process data to provide pressure being output. Tire pressure is determined by a decomposition method or analytical technique explained as false pressure and can be also determined by a system using a neutral network. Determined pressure is displayed on a screen or by a printing mode.
