Abstract:
PURPOSE:To restrain the self-discharge, and improve the preserving characteristic by arranging a sulfonated polypropylene resin nonwoven fabric sheet in a position to get wet in alkaline electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A sulfonated polypropylene resin nonwoven fabric sheet 2 is arranged so as to cover a winding base end part 1a with one electrode sheet (a positive electrode sheet or a negative electrode sheet) 1. In this case, since a corner part of the winding base end part 1a of the sheet 1 becomes hard to break through a separator 3 at winding time, a preserving characteristic is improved, and in addition, a generating rate of an internal short circuit is reduced. A position where the sulfonated polypropylene resin nonwoven fabric sheet is arranged in a battery can is set in a place to get wet in alkaline electrolyte. Thereby, leakage of the electrolyte is hardly caused in the last stage of charging or at overcharge time, and a movement in the electrolyte of a nitrate ion or the like being a decomposed product material of polyamide resin is checked, and self-discharge becomes hard to be caused, so that a preserving characteristic can be improved.
