Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide and epoxy resin which is made waterdispersible can be dispersed in an aqueous resin dispersion in the form of particles of a very small diameter. CONSTITUTION:A water-dispersible epoxy resin prepared by reacting a polyamide-modified epoxy resin prepared by reacting an epoxy resin having more than one vicinal epoxy group on the average per molecule with a phenol compound having more than one hydroxyl group on the average per molecule with a specified polyamidodicarboxylic acid with phosphoric acid and hydrolyzing the product, and a process for producing the same.
