Abstract:
This driving assistance control device (100) makes it possible to: guide the speed of a host vehicle to a safer speed by causing a driver to recognize a risk of collision with an unrecognizable virtual object that jumps out from the blind spot area; and reduce, as the result, the risk of collision around the blind spot area. In particular, the driving assistance control device (100) is configured to be able to: set a speed change plan for changing speed by which collision can be avoided at a specific spot from which the jumping-out object jumps out; and feed back, to the driver, as visualization information that represents the likelihood of the risk of collision between a host vehicle (M) and the jumping-out object, the location and moving speed of the jumping-out object that are predicted in association with the current speed of the host vehicle according to a speed defined in the speed change plan and the current speed of the host vehicle.
