Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an engine 1 where an air-fuel ratio is feedback controlled on the basis of a detected value (a detected air-fuel ratio) by an air-fuel ratio sensor 106 provided in an exhaust system, for enhancing its controllability by appropriately correcting the detecting deviation of the air-fuel ratio resulting from scavenging.SOLUTION: For example, when the air-fuel ratio sensor 106 is arranged downstream of a collection part of an exhaust manifold 40, the rate (an intake air blow-by rate: a scavenging rate scart) of intake air flowing out to an exhaust port 18 in a valve overlap period for intake/exhaust air to intake air taken into a cylinder 12 is calculated on the basis of the operating condition of the engine 1 (Step ST101: blow-by rate calculating means). The detected air-fuel ratio is corrected according to the scavenging rate scart (Steps ST102-104: detected air-fuel ratio correcting means).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
