Abstract:

To provide a cylinder head fitting to various types of cylinder heads by merely changing less number of parts.

This cylinder head of an internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder head body 31 having intake and exhaust valves 34, 35 and valve springs 38 and a support stand part installed on the cylinder head body 31. The support stand part is formed of one of a first cam carrier 41 on which the intake and exhaust camshafts 42, 44 are rotatably supported so that the intake and exhaust cams 43, 45 of the intake and exhaust camshafts 42, 44 directly push down the intake and exhaust valves 34, 35 and a second cam carrier 61 on which the intake and exhaust camshafts 42, 44 are rotatably supported so that the intake and exhaust cams 43, 45 of the intake and exhaust camshafts 42, 44 indirectly push down the intake and exhaust valves 34, 35 through and rocker arm 71.
