To make it possible to easily transfer an image having better durability, such as light resistance and heat resistance, and resolution, than those of a color image formed by sublimatable dyes formed by the conventional sublimation transfer method and having better forgery (alteration) preventive performance to a body to be transferred.
A photosensitive layer 2 which is changed in its tacky adhesiveness by exposure of a photosensitive sheet 10 is transferred onto the image receiving adhesive layer 45 of an image receiving sheet 40 having a security assurance layer 43. This photosensitive layer 2 is subjected to an exposure processing, by which the latent image consisting of the exposed parts and unexposed parts varying in the tacky adhesiveness is formed. The transfer layer 22 itself of transfer foil 20 is migrated to the shapes meeting the latent image on the photosensitive layer 2 formed with the latent image, by which the latent image is developed and the image is formed on the image receiving adhesive layer 45. This image receiving adhesive layer 45 is superposed on the body 5 to be transferred, by which the image receiving adhesive layer 45 including the image patterns and the security assurance layer 43 are transferred onto the body 5 to be transferred.
