Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetite particle from which a brake friction material having high frictional resistance can be obtained.SOLUTION: A magnetite particle of the present invention has a particle diameter D of primary particle measured by electron microscopic observation, of 0.8 μm or more and 10 μm or less. The magnetite particle is for use by blending into a brake friction material. It is suitable for the primary particle to have a polyhedral shape. It is also suitable to include binding particles in which a plurality of the primary particles are bound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
