PURPOSE: To obtain a compact photosensor array characterized by excellent connecting workability with a driving circuit, by gathering and arranging the electric connecting terminals of common electrodes at a side part along the aligning direction of the array of a substrate.
CONSTITUTION: Picture elements are aligned in one line between common electrodes 3 and individual electrodes 4 along the aligning direction of the electrode. Common electrode terminals C1∼C64 and individual-electrode-signal extracting wiring terminals I1∼I32 are provided. The common electrode terminals C1∼C64 are grouped in every eight terminals, and the light groups G1∼G8 are gathered and arranged at eight positions on a side part along the aligning direction of the array of a substrate 1. A width L2 of a part for arranging the common electrodes does not become large. The connection of the common electrode terminal and a driving circuit can be performed sufficiently effectively by visual alignment by the use of heat sealing connector.
