PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold by accurately specifying a holding position of a flexible and linear object to be held.SOLUTION: A holding device holds a desired holding position of a flexible and linear object to be held, and includes a heating part for increasing a temperature of the desired holding position of the object to be held, two thermocameras for photographing the object to be held, an image processing part for specifying the holding position of which the temperature is increased by the heating part based on photographic data of the two thermocameras, and a hand part for holding the holding position specified by the image processing part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
